Pświęcenie nowo odrestaurowanego klasztoru Gangteng Sang-Ngag Choeling w Buthanie – wrzesień 2008

Invitation to the Consecration of the restored GANGTENG SANG-NGAG CHOELING MONASTERY BHUTAN Sept. 30 - Oct. 18, 2008

Located between India and Tibet, Bhutan is the last Vajrayana Buddhist Kingdom in the world, a country where nature, culture and spirituality blend into one: respect for life endures like the pristine land itself. In the centre of the Phobjika Valley of central Bhutan lies Gangteng Gompa, the largest Nyingmapa Monastery in Bhutan. For more than half a millennium, Gangteng Gompa has been the seat of the Gangteng Tulkus and the heart centre of the Pema Lingpa lineage of Vajrayana Buddhism in Bhutan, housing many of its most sacred relics. Facing the imminent collapse of this sacred monument, Gangteng Tulku Rinpoche, Yeshe Khorlo's founder, personally undertook its complete restoration in 1998. After many years of preparation and work by many of Bhutan's most skilled artisans, the opening ceremonies and festival to commemorate the restoration of the monastery are planned for October, 2008.
